As I was editing these photos the song, Forever and Ever, Amen by Randy Travis played in my head. This sweet couple was a dream to shoot. The summer sun with the lush green grass and beautiful horses made it a scene right out of a cowgirls dream.
I have captured many moments for this lovely gal’s family and breakaway roping events she hosts from time to time. When she called and asked me to take these engagement photos I couldn’t say no. I headed out to Hesperus, Colorado, just south of Durango and made it out to the ranch.
There were young colts frolicking around the open field while the mom’s grazed. The swish of the horses tails from the pens were a nice lullaby along with the bugs floating through the air. We took some photos with their horses and even had them trot across the pasture together.
We had a quick outfit change and captured some more special moments before calling it an evening. I am sad I won’t be able to capture their special day but I know it will be a perfect day.
