I secretly love getting to capture weddings. I know, call me crazy. But there is just something about all of the emotions, the people and the locations that just make it such a beautiful day. Although I love them I am picky about weddings that I book. I try to keep it in the western lifestyle side and people who I know aren’t going to be Zillas.
Today I felt like sharing a wedding I got to photograph back in June. This sweet young couple had a beautiful wedding just outside of Pagosa Springs at this beautiful ranch I often drive by on my way to rodeos.
It was a very hot day. I couldn’t believe the wedding party was in denim jackets and felt hats. Although they were toasty they looked great for photos. The ceremony was in front of this beautiful red barn covered in mud swallows. They had beautiful sun flowers accenting their arch with a cow skull at the top. There were cows grazing in the pasture in the distance and the smell of hay from the seats at the ceremony site made it a true country wedding.
I will say it is so fun to see the different types of weddings I get to attend. These two are fresh out of high school and were ready to tie the knot. Many in attendance weren’t of age but they made up for the fun in other ways. There was a pretty memorable musical chairs session and some group dancing to bring the night to life.
I’ll keep it short and sweet but here is a gallery of The Logan’s.
