Time To Fly

I shot my first high school rodeo this weekend and it was a blast!

I traveled to Townsend, Montana for this two day rodeo. We stayed in a little camper on the grounds. We woke up before the sun and went to bed after it did. The view was amazing and made for great pictures. The mountains stood out so beautifully in the background.

It was so fun to watch contestants from all ages. They varied from junior high to seniors in high school. It reminded me of back in the day when I would compete in the Sunday Funday rodeo back home in the summer. The laughs, the dirt flying and the fun we had. I sure miss it.

This was one of my favorite images from the weekend. This photo just looks so graceful and beautiful. A still moment in the chaos of a saddle bronc ride.

Rodeo season is just about in full swing so there will be many more rodeos to come!
