I got to head out on another trip this past week but believe it or not it was not for a photography job. As I packed I felt a little lost. I wasn’t packing my usual western shirts and sweaters but I was packing something a little more fancy. I was packing to attend the Safari Club International (SCI) National Convention in Nashville, Tennessee.
This trip I got to travel with my parents which I haven’t gotten to do in some time. We loaded up and flew out south for an unforgettable experience. We spent four full days trekking around a crowded show floor checking out some amazing taxidermy, catching up with new and old friends and attending some great meetings and seminars.
Here is a highlight video of the convention! Follow me on social media to see more of the fun I embark on.

Although I wasn’t coming to take photos, I of course couldn’t leave home without my camera. I found myself taking photos for some seminar instructors and I even did some photo shoots with myself and my mom. We had a blast stopping down crowded halls, moving furniture and catching the perfect moment.

My favorite part of the trip was the live music we got to enjoy each day we walked the streets or enjoyed our meals. Each musician we saw I had to request Dreams by Fleetwood Mac and they all nailed it. It was nice to see the local artists but I also got to catch some outstanding performers while we were there. We saw Lee Brice, Big & Rich and by far my absolute favorite was Billy Strings.
Here are some highlight photos from the trip! Now I will relax at home for a couple days before I head out on the road again!
