We sent 2022 out with some fun nights of rodeo, laughter, and a great time with friends. The Ignacio Winter Rodeo Series was the first hometown rodeo we got to work this year. Six performances full of great local competition from barrel racing to bull riding. Getting to be behind the camera for all of these moments is what I love most.
The Ignacio Winter Rodeo Series is hosted by Bucking H Rodeo out of Gobernador, NM. A family-owned and operated stock contractor company. I spend most of my summers around this crew at other rodeos such as Red Ryder Roundup and True Western Roundup, so this series was not much different than others. The ladies in the office work hard, the crew on the ground gets stuff done and the rest falls into place.
As the official photographer, I strive to provide great images week in and week out. I try to be unique and different which is one of the biggest struggles of being in the same arena for six weeks. In this series, I beame more efficient with one of my smaller lenses creating some fun wide-angle photos. Check them out!

This year I am excited to get back in the arena at some of my favorite rodeos and hopefully many new ones to come. Happy 2023!
